Ariana, inspired by the new chapter of the book And if we by François Taddei, presents a touching conversation between a mother and daughter, revealing the character of the "Planetizen" - that citizen of the planet capable of thinking and acting beyond borders.
"What if we... awakened the Planetizen within us, what could we accomplish?"
Using the open-source AI tool Stable Diffusion, each scene in the story is transformed into a generative image. Editing transforms this series of illustrations into a spellbinding visual experience, where AI aesthetics meet emotional storytelling.
The entire project was completed in 24 hours in April 2023 - from AI image generation to final editing. This sprint format forces creative spontaneity and explores the narrative possibilities of generative AI within a constrained timeframe.
More than just a story, it's an invitation to think and act. The film explores how we might collectively become "Planetizens": beings capable of transcending national egoisms to think on a planetary scale.
