MED13L Association

An information and support platform for a rare genetic condition. A complete redesign focused on accessibility, performance and the needs of families, researchers and healthcare professionals.

Context

MED13L syndrome is a rare genetic condition affecting a few thousand people worldwide. The association needed a modern platform to centralise medical information, make donations and membership straightforward, and build an international community.

Key Features

Third-party integrations: HelloAsso forms for donations and membership, and a Lu.ma calendar for community events. Native multilingual support with sitemap.xml and hreflang tags for strong international search visibility.

Light and dark modes with a WCAG AA-compliant palette, and full keyboard navigation across every component. A mobile Lighthouse score above 95, thanks to server rendering and incremental builds.

Infrastructure

Built with Next.js 15 and React 19, with a design system on Tailwind 4 and shadcn/ui for visual consistency. Continuous deployment from GitHub to Clever Cloud (a French hosting partner) supports availability and data sovereignty.
